University of West Hungary and Institute for Cereal Processing cordially invite you to participate in the 5th Symposium on "MICROALGAE AND SEAWEED PRODUCTS IN PLANT/SOIL-SYSTEMS" to be held in Mosonmagyarovar. The Hungarian and German organisers initiated the first discussion with this title in 2001 among scientists from different countries coming from Eastern and Western Europe as well as from other continents in the field of potential and practical use of algae for plant and/or soil treatment.
However, the microalgae can also be used as an efficient tool in decreasing the CO2 emission, as well as a renewable energy sources. The organisers intend to organise the 5th Symposium assembling: 1. Scientists who have been investigating microalgae and seaweed which can be used for plant or soil treatment because of their soil conditioning, plant growth regulating, antimicrobial or any other beneficial activities; 2. Plant producers, who have experiences in plant/soil treatment with microalgal or seaweed products; 3. Chief scientists or managers of companies, who are marketing microalgal or seaweed products. Presentations about cyanobacteria, microalgae and seaweed, which can potentially be used in plant treatment, influence the plant/soil-systems in anyway are especially welcome.
lease attend, present your results and new findings, become acquainted with our experience in the field of freshwater cyanobacteria and microalgae for agricultural purposes, and discuss new methods which may contribute to the environmentally friendly plant production.
The deadline for the Registration and receipt of Abstracts is 15 April 2011. Please submit your Abstracts via e-mail at plantph@mtk.nyme.hu as a file attachment. The Abstract must be prepared using MS Word or OpenOffice.org form. Oral and poster presentations given by participants would be highly appreciated. The one page long abstracts of oral presentations and posters will be published in the Book of Abstracts. If the Scientific Programme convinced you to participate in the Symposium and contribute to a successful exchange of experiences please do not hesitate to send us the Abstract of your presentation.
